For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.  Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.  And ye shall seek me, and find me when ye shall search for me with all your heart.:  Jeremiah 29:11-13 (KJV)

As these passages resonate within your mind, we invite you to become a part of the Women's Ministries Support Teams of the Hanson Place S.D.A. Church   As your fruit grows on the True Vine, it will be necessary for the Gardner to utilize the pruning knife, but do not get discourage for if you continue in the path of faith you will gain the nourishment  you need to become a mature vine.   

The Women's Ministries Department at Hanson Place Seventh-Day Adventist Church  are here to join with you and assist you in obtaining your goal of Christlikeness.  The following vision and mission, is adopted from The North American Division of Seventh-Day Adventist Women's Ministries, is shared by Hanson Place Women's Ministries (S.O.S. - Sisters of Strength)

 Our mission is to model Jesus Christ through meaningful relationships and effective ministries.

Our objectives are to:

  • Provide opportunities for women to deepen their faith and experience spiritual growth and renewal
  • Elevate women as persons of worth
  • Address the concerns of women
  • Build networks among women
  • Mentor young women, teens, and girls
  • Promote opportunities for wider service for women
  • Challenge christian women to use their talents and spiritual gifts for the glory of God in the home, church, and community

May this mission statement become our lifestyle as we determine  “...to be in love not with a cause, but with the one who give us the cause.” -Bob Boardman, "A Call to Commitment," Issue 2.

We thank you for the support you shared with us in 2009 and we are looking forward to extending  this united and spirit-filled relationship throughout  2010.
