Communications & Public Relations

"Then I saw another angel flying in mid-air, and he had the eternal Gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth–to every nation, tribe, language and people." Revelation 14:6, NIV

Today, now more than ever, what you say and how you tell your story is important. The Communications Department of the Hanson Place Seventh-day Adventist Church is responsible for telling the story of Jesus Christ as revealed in the events and programs of the church. The department is comprised of several divisions: Audio-Visual, Public Relations, Web Group and Media Ministry.

The department is staffed by dedicated, talented professionals that include engineers, technicians, phtographers, information technology consultants, web developers and videographers. Their dedication, powered by the Holy Spirit, ensures that the message of the Gospel in this corner of God's vineyard will continue to be experienced.

Audio-Visual

The Audio-Visual (A/V) team provides sound reinforcement, lighting and video projection services for the church. Each event at the Hanson Place Church is an experience. The mission of the A/V team is to make each moment worth remembering. Our church is equipped with state-of-the-art audio equipment, digital cameras and video editing system. The team coordinates events ranging from solo performances to concerts featuring 100-member choirs with orchestras.

Public Relations

Public Relations officers act as liasons with the local community. Our representatives regularly attend community meetings and are actively building relationships in Fort Greene. The Public Relations staff also handles the marketing and publicity of many church events.

Web Group

The Web Group is responsible for the web site that you are now enjoying. Our staff designs, maintains and develops the site for future use. As the web increases in its importance, the web group will continue to develop our site as a tool of enrichment for all who use it.

Media Ministry

The Media Ministry (formerly the Tape Ministry), oversees the recording of events. We record all of our Sabbath worship services for sale and for distribution to the sick and shut-in. Since we are now in a digital era, we will be making the transition to offering our services on CD and DVD.
