Community Services

The Community Services Department of our church has an active outreach program which caters to the needs of thousands, including the homeless and hungry in this inner-city area. We provide food, clothing, and other items to those in need. There is food distribution on Wednesdays and feeding of the homeless on Sunday mornings.

Community Services also offers various Senior Citizen programs and internships for college students.  If you or someone you know would like to benefit from any of these services, please contact our Community Service Leader by clicking on the contacts tab at the top of this page or you can send email to communityservices@hansonplace.org.

Senior citizens are invited to attend a special program planned just for them every Wednesday beginning at 10:30 AM.  A hot meal is served.  Blood Pressure can be taken and recorded.  FREE bread, fruits and vegetables are distributed.

Clothing Drive

A clothing drive is in progress for individuals in Durban and Soweto, South Africa. Clothes (in good condition), sorted by size, may be dropped off at the Hanson Place Church Community Services Building, 150 South Portland Avenue.
